We are excited to show everyone that Bawaka now has their laundry operational! The Nova Peris Foundation has been working hard with Djawa Timmy to improve all the infrastructure out at Bawaka! We thank our many donors who contributed to this! Also thanks to Aboriginal Investment Group for being the supplier we purchased the incredible Speed Queen washer / dryer stacker from!
The Nova Peris Foundation has worked hard to garner supporters and sponsors who believe in our vision. Through these partnerships, we’ve been able to empower the community of Bawaka to receive much-needed infrastructure—like a new water bubbler and filtration system, generously donated by the Reece Foundation, so that both family and visiting tourists can enjoy clean, chilled water.
Thanks also to Harvey Norman for donating new beds and an outdoor setting for the deck.
Donations to the Nova Peris Foundation have enabled us to supply both Bawaka and Yirrkala—two communities we are proudly focusing on to become exemplary models in Homelands Empowerment. Our goal is to improve health and economic opportunities and outcomes in these communities, and in doing so, support Aboriginal-led solutions that pave the way for self-determination.
